Milan Maternity!

Just wanted to let everyone know about an awesome new maternity clothes website. A friend of mine just started this company and I think it's awesome! I don't know if you know this but Wal-Mart and Downeast are discontinuing their maternity lines, so this is a great place to stock up on your needs. Also her clothes are modest and reasonably priced! I'm so excited for her, check it out! Way to go Jessica!!

The Dreaded Potty

Lately Chase has been doing a really good job at telling me he needed to go potty on the toilet. Yesterday he told me twice and both times his diaper was completely dry and he went potty on the toilet. He even was dry after his nap and went potty! So we went out and bought sponge bob undies and decided to take the plunge today. The underwear went on at 11:12, by 11:15 he had already had an accident, "Mommy, wet." Within 10 more minutes we had at least 5 false alarms, "Go potty on the toilet!" and one more small accident. By 11:41 we had at least 10 more false alarms and a falling apart. It came down to a choice between the diaper and undies and Chase chose the diaper! I don't know what to do! I though he was ready, but maybe not. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any super fabulous books? Any magic words or a magic wand I can borrow? I think we're done for today, but I don't want to take a step back in our progress.

Weekend

We had a fun weekend of just hanging out. Jared finished the fence in our backyard, all we need now is the gate. Hopefully he can get to that sometime after work this week. Chase and I played out in the pool on Saturday, it wasn't really warm out, and the water was FREEZING, but it was fun nonetheless. It was so nice just to sit in a chair and read a book while Chase ran around the yard. Ahhh, Heaven. We hope to get the deck and the sliding glass door in soon so that the backyard will be more accessible.
OH, I guess I should tell those who do not know, we bought a house in Rexburg in May. I delayed posting for a long time because we had a lot of ups and downs with financing, what a joke! We love our little house, it need a lot of TLC, but we are very excited to have a place of our own. We know we always talked about moving back to WA, but we really felt like Rexburg is where we need to be right now. Hopefully in the next five years we'll be back with family, but for now it's the 'Burg!

Our House..like I said, it needs work, and it's small, but it's ours!

SOLD! After four years of trying, we finally did it! By the way, if you're ever looking in the Rexburg area, Tony Stallings is a fantastic realtor, we completely recommend him!

Chase in the pool, this is as far as he'd get in, the tongue is my favorite, he gets it from me!

Ready for Church! This picture really disturbs Jared, but I find it very humorous. And you know what, Chase is very proficient at walking in heels! Who would've known.

DISGUSTING!!!

My Cousin, an OBGYN, sent me a link to this article. I laughed so hard, because, I KNOW this stuff really happens!!! Crazy postpartum women! You have to watch the video that goes along with it. My favorite part is the "Viewer discretion advised" warning! So sick and wrong, enjoy!

The Last Show

Yesterday was our last show with our band Pickin' Grass. Gail and Curtis leave in a couple weeks for Kentucky, so this was it. We played to sets at the Idaho Falls Blue Grass on the Greenbelt, it was a blast and our last set was definitely a good note to end on. We headed out for dinner after that with the Lienemann's and took some commemorative pictures. Today I woke up and found out that my picture was in the Idaho Falls Post Register, pretty fun. We know that they took more pictures of the band, so we were going to contact them and see if we can get copies. I'll post them when we get them, but you know how I am with posts! Us girls also decided to (don't freak out Mom!) dye parts of our hair pink for our last show. It was fun and I do feel a little rebelious, even though I am married with a child! We're doing great, I'll post more pictures and updates on what we're up to. Enjoy the pics!

NANA!!

Today I just had to laugh at Chase.  He woke up at o'dark thirty, which is actually 7:30, but that's crazy early for me!  So we went out to the living room, went through the ritual of browsing all of the DVDs twice before picking the best option, and then I crashed on the couch with a pillow and a blanket.  Chase wandered over to his toy area, bends down and pops up with, not a toy, but a banana.  He was so proud of himself and kept saying, "nana, nana!"  I made him promptly go put it back, which he obediently did.  But I just had to laugh, because this is not the first time, nor do I suspect this will be the last time this happens.  The other day I found an apple in his crib.  We have found cuccumbers stashed in toys, and string cheese stuck behind the subwoofer.  Now one might say he's just hiding his food so that he doesn't have to eat it, but that's not quite right, because we find him snacking on it days later!!!  Oh my son.

I'm Still Alive!!

Okay, so I am officially a blog slacker.  I thought when I started blogging that I would be so good and stay on top of things, at least once a week, yeah right!  So now that it has been two months since I've posted.....I think I'll let you know that yes, we're still alive.  Things have been so busy at the Call household, I seriously take on way too much sometimes.
Chase is still his crazy, active, on the go, into everything two year old.  We love him dearly, but there are times when I just scream!  Sorry Diane and Jimmy (they live above us).  We decided to take down the gate in the hallway and give Chase a little more freedom and responsibility.  I'm happy to report that it has gone really well.  Chase hasn't really touched the garbage since the first day or two and we've only had to lock the closet doors to the laundry once!  We did have to buy a doorstop for his door, now that he has almost ripped it off of the hinges!  Jared also went around and hid cords, put the humidifier away and moved everything accessible off of the low shelves.  I'd just like to interject that Jared really is the ring leader of the "baby proofing."  So aside from having to pick up about a hundred books every day and put all of the stuffed animals back on the shelves, and put the cushions back on the rocking chair, and plug the fan back in after picking it up off the floor, and put all of the unfolded diapers back in the basket, it isn't too bad!  One funny thing happened this morning, Jared and I have noticed that Chase likes to hide behind the rocking chair for long periods of time, we didn't think much of it, whatever floats your boat!  Well Jared found out why.  There was one lone pacifier in the back pocket of the rocking chair.  Chase would sneak it out, suck on it while he was in his corner and put it back before we found him.  That is until Jared found him today, the  pacifier is now in the garbage.  Poor kid!
Jared's finishing up his second to last semester, he applied for graduation yesterday!!!!  It's so great to have an end in sight!  We're still trying to solidify plans, but we'll keep you posted.
I've been busy with work, full time night shift really drains you fast!  Chase keeps me busy as usual, but lately I've really been trying to be a better,  more organized mother.  I've decided to try and do two organized activities a day with Chase, and it's really helped him calm down throughout the day!  You're probably all laughing at me, because that's what you already do with your kids, but it always takes me a little longer to figure things out, just ask my Mom!  I'm also training for a half marathon in the end of April.  I haven't been doing too hot, I keep putting my runs off!  But I have a schedule now that I have to stick too!  I can't let my speed walking Mom beat me!
One other thing I wanted to write was to not be too surprised if you don't see posts from me for long periods of time.  These past couple of weeks I've been contemplating life and my priorities.  I've really felt like my priorities are slightly off.  Not in a bad way at all, but just not what they need to be.  I have been blessed so abundantly and I am so grateful for my many blessings; one of the gifts that I have been given is a spirit of discernment, the ability to choose right from wrong and to be very sensitive to the things of the spirit.  I've just noticed a big difference in my life the past couple of weeks and I know that I need to reevaluate.  So I can tell you right now that blogging isn't going to be in the top ten.  There are definitely things that I need to do to maintain my sanity, and so you will hear from me, but not too regularly.  I feel very happy about the decisions that I've made to do this, and I know that my family needs me now more than ever to make these changes now.    We love you all, I love to read your blogs and I'll continue to catch up when I can.  Don't forget about me though, I'll still post!
Now I should probably quit procrastinating and start my Relief Society Lesson for tomorrow.  That's another gift I've been given, the gift of massive procrastination!!
